Last week, at a coffee shop, a 20-something year old jumped on the "evil, greedy corporations" soapbox. His gripe? That Amazon.com operates through corporate welfare. After all [in his mind] they not paying $0 in federal taxes is a "social handout."

Of course, this didn't even dissuade his argument: That many companies use legal tax credits and exemptions to reinvest profits into operationsinto creating opportunities and innovative offshoots for any and all tied to its growth, including its employees.

How will you value context this week to change your beliefs about something or somebody?

DISEMPOWERED MINDS

This will be a first. I've never led off an issue of this newsletter with a soft topic; something for you to inwardly reflect on. Sure, my prefaces (like the one above) DO often go there, but not these main bullets. Why today? Well, let's just say our MIND section of M4 Insider is getting more and more traction (members dig it). Maybe 'cause, like the guy in the coffee shop above, we're realizing our beliefs are constantly being controlled by outside forces.

+ As M4 brain-trust colleague Leslie Fieger observes: "If you are mostly getting your news from mainstream media, you are getting selectively chosen sound bytes or tidbits of information designed, not to inform you, but to enroll you in a perspective of the world that furthers the narrative of reality that disempowers you."

STASHING CASH

As reported by CNBC's Sharon Epperson, "Supplementing with a high-yield savings account could mean almost an additional $500 in annual interest for the average U.S. savings account of $25,000." And now, with this M4 Insider-endorsed vendor [login required], you can open a cash account (with no minimum) and instantly start earning nearly 20 times the interest rate in comparison to a traditional bank.

POOR MAN'S GOLD

Over the years, I've amused myself by picking on "gold bugs" from time to time. Which is why I appreciate Lobo Tiggre, here, focusing on the price movement, the speculative quest for engaging with precious metals. He's not saying to go buy coins and bars to stash away as an "investment," as gold and silver are more like 'backup money,’ not necessarily ideal in this new-tech day and age. Still, as a speculative-trade or insurance-of-last-resort... eh, sure... why not.

BOTTOMS UP

Coffee prices over the past few years have been on a downward slide. And, according to the International Coffee Organization's recent report, there is an ample supply of coffee on the international market. However, this sought-after commodity can see big swings over short periods of time. As a speculation, in my humble view (as a longtime chartist), this market will be one of the most intriguing trades of 2019-2020.

+ The good news is that trading price movement in a commodity doesn't mean you have to open a futures account. There's a way you can monitor the prices, get automation alerts, and initiate a commodity trade that very well could dwarf the returns of any stock over that time frame. I'll be telling M4i members, next week, how to do this.

ELITE TRADERS

Speaking of trading, if you don't want to place your own...er... well trades, then consider automated trading systems. As our very own Brad Weinman points out, [they] "continue to be one of the most popular ways for the savvy 'little guy' [or gal] investor (and, even complete newbies) to generate passive cash flow from the markets"

+ Continuing, "One of our endorsed M4 Insider vendors [login required] is an independent rating and trading signal service provider that monitors and verifies the real-time trading performance of internationally recognized futures, stock, and forex traders."

Quote of The Week:

"There are three principles in a man's being and life: The principle of thought, the principle of speech, and the principle of action. "The origin of all conflict between me and my fellow-men is that I do not say what I mean and I don't do what I say." ― Martin Buber
