2015 Huet Vouvray Moelleux Cuvee Constance (500ML)

99 WS / 96 WA

Was $149.99 Now $134.99 Buy Now

Stunning from the start, with a silky and refined feel despite the panoply of dried quince, fig, pear and apricot flavors that are exotic in nature. Lovely green tea, orange blossom and persimmon notes fill in the background. Obviously sweet, but with persistent dry almond and orange extract details that lend latent tension through the seamless and nearly endless finish. The first Cuvee Constance bottling since the 2009 vintage. Drink now through 2060. - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator

2005 Chapoutier Vin De Paille 2005 (375ML)

96-98 RP / 95 WS

Was $129.89 Now $119.99 Buy Now

Of course, Michel Chapoutier produces some very limited spectacular dessert wines. The 2005 Ermitage Vin de Paille has a dark amber color, much more noticeable acidity than the 2004, but tastes as unctuous, yet with considerable precision. The truffle notes are not nearly as intense, but the wine does exhibit plenty of honeysuckle, caramel, and marmalade notes in a full-bodied, sweet style. This wine cuvee has between 100 and 159 grams of residual sugar, and the finished alcohol is approximately 15%. - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

2005 Trimbach Pinot Gris SGN 2005 (750ML)

97 WS / 95 WA

Was $119.99 Now $104.99 Buy Now

This focused SGN is tightly knit, blending threads of flavor and structure into a wine that\'s elegant overall. Weaves streamlined, racy acidity with layers of dried papaya, macerated peach, briny mineral and fresh alpine forest, with hints of lemon curd and wood smoke. Though rich and lightly honeyed, this leaves a fresh, mouthwatering impression, with lots of zesty spice and mineral character on the very long finish. Drink now through 2040. 300 cases made. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator

2007 Trimbach Gewurztraminer SGN Hors Choix (750ML)

96 WA / 94 WS / 94 VM

Was $156.00 Now $137.99 Buy Now

The 2007 Gewurztraminer Selection de Grains Nobles Hors Choix represents a cuvee designation that the Trimbachs also utilized in 1989 and 2000 for wine of near Esszencia-like richness. Essence of rose petal along with mirabelle preserves, mint candy, and brown spices on the nose are joined on a thickly-rich palate by honey, chocolate, and white raisin. Yet for all of its richness and gaudy, candied set of flavors, this preserves a juicy sense of leavening and refreshment in a finish of extraordinary persistence, its sweetness not in the least cloying. This should be a 50 year wine. - David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate

1973 Toro Albala Don Pedro Ximenez Vieja Cosecha (750ML)

97 DE / 95 WA

Was $104.99 Now $89.99 Buy Now

Platinum Award: Best Spanish Fortified, Decanter World Wine Awards 2017

Lifted aromas of orange peel and flora overlay concentrated banana, treacle, caramel, licorice and honey. There is a savoury richness underneath extreme sweetness on the palate, coffee essence, creamy vanilla, and immensely long toffee and honey finish. - Decanter World Wine Awards, 2017

1964 Toro Albala Palo Cortado Marques de Poley Seleccion (750ML)

94-96 WA

Was $104.99 Now $89.99 Buy Now

The 1964 Palo Cortado Marques de Poley Seleccion was aged in a solera system of which 50 botas remain. It's a very old fortified wine produced with Pedro Ximenez grapes, aged in well-seasoned American oak barrels. It is full-bodied, which hints at an Oloroso origin, and has the aromas of a very old wine with rusty nail, saltpeter, low tide, phosphor and matchstick notes with a volatile twist. Wines like this are not meant to be consumed by the general public (the price already prevents that) as their style is not easy to appreciate and might seem aggressive to some. There are 24,000 liters of this wine, and the plan is to bottle it in 375-milliliter bottles. Luis Gutierrez – The Wine Advocate

2004 Dal Forno Vigna Sere Veneto Passito 2004 (375ML)

99 WA / 98+ AG

Was $154.99 Now $137.99 Buy Now

The 2004 Passito Rosso Vino Dolce Vigna Sere (500-mililiter) is a masterpiece that is impossible to repeat. In fact, the wine has not been produced since 2004. Even if a vintage as good as this did come along, we'd need to wait another 13 years before we could enjoy this level of maturity and evolution. Formally a Recioto della Valpolicella, this sweet red wine is made with air-dried fruit as local tradition dictates. Luckily no botrytis set in that year, because that would have eroded the wine's deep and luscious color saturation. The bouquet delivers a generous flow of dark spice, bitter chocolate, espresso, raisin, plum, barbecue spice and teriyaki smoke. The concentration and layering of the wine are both rare and distinctive. The mouthfeel sees sweet flavors with a syrupy mouthfeel. The finish offers hints of caramelized brown sugar and savory hickory. The aging window is impossible to predict, but the wine is surely built to last. I can think of no other wine that comes close to matching this unique style. - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate
