Hello Mayumi.

Annual Thanksgiving Sale

YESTERDAY: December 3

After having gone 36 days without the market moving lower by 0.5% or more, we had the second day in a row of moves lower—this time larger than the previous day's decline—at least on the open. Monday, the SPX closed down -27.11 and -20.67 points yesterday. Sounds normal and boring, right? After seeing weeks and weeks of the market closing with net changes of less than $8 in the SPX, seeing the SPX open down -43.54 was a surprise to many people not accustomed to seeing the Dow down more than 400.

The Culprit

President Trump talking about China said that he was in no hurry to cut a China trade deal. Specifically, the President stated: "In some ways, I like the idea of waiting until after the election for the China deal. But they want to make a deal now, and we’ll see whether or not the deal’s going to be right; it’s got to be right."

Other Politics

With 11 months remaining until the election, things are going to start getting really crazy. As the rock band Bachman Turner Overdrive sang in 1974: You ain't seen nothing yet”.

Kamala Harris dropped out of the presidential race, but Hillary Clinton still refuses to announce she is not running. She stated once again that she “Obviously I can beat him (Trump) again.” LOL Meanwhile Joe Biden is off on his NO MALARKEY tour, and President Trump is facing more impeachment news today. I don't think Beto O'Rouke ate more dirt yesterday, but who knows? How can people not think we are not being gas-lighted? Yes, it is soon going to get crazier.

Yesterday's Big Movers:

  • AAPL saw a low of 256.53 (down -7.87), before closing down -4.71 (-1.78%).
  • TLT (bonds) closed higher by +2.90 (+2.1%) at 141.21

TODAY: December 4

I suspect we could test yesterday's lows of SPX 3070.33, and maybe even lower, but this is a strong market. Any fall will likely be a great buying opportunity—if we get one.

2019: MUCH HIGHER FROM HERE (2506.85 SPX) – (prediction made January 2, 2019) but not a straight line, and not without some volatility. Trump WILL get his wall. China will buckle and blink first. The Fed will go back on their medication, and spend time thinking about what they say (before saying it).

ARE ANY OF THESE COMING TRUE? Look at the exact words I said about “blinking first” a year ago.

If you are a fan of Joe Biden, I do not mean to be mean. I make fun of all politicians equally. I am just saddened that a nation of 350 million people can't do better than we are seeing now. UNUSED POTENTIAL. I also trust billionaires who become politicians MORE than I trust politicians who become billionaires. I trust socialists who own 3 homes and $180,000 sports cars the least.

Joe Biden doesn't understand that the word MALARKEY is not common in people under 60 years of age vocabulary. For people born after Harry Truman left office, here is the definition:

ma·lar·key (noun) /məˈlärkē/
“meaningless talk”

Used in a sentence:

Talking about 7 year old kids rubbing your leg hair and being roaches is a bunch of malarkey”.

It would be pure humor watching Joe talk malarkey on his “no malarkey” tour. Saturday Night Live could not do better than the actual thing, and the whole world would watch.

For those who have NO IDEA what I am talking about, here is a clip of his speech on last Sunday.
